On a personal level, I think the Thinking Partnership course has been the single most transformational personal development I have done. Prior to attending I understood on an intellectual level, that generative, mindful listening was my biggest development area as a coach but going on the course helped me experience the difference it makes to a conversation, plus your feedback and support during my practice enabled me to have some success doing it, which in turn gave me the confidence and ability to apply it to my work.
This has also been enormously helpful in my line management role. Previously if someone was upset and letting off steam my tendency would be to try and find solutions and offer advice. However, truly listening to someone is so much more powerful. My team thank me for my support and seem really grateful for the time. They also seem to be becoming more resourceful at coping with things that cause them frustration and stress.
