Fiona has a rare set of gifts, and they keep giving. An exemplary executive and uncommon advisor, she has an incisive mind, decisive hand, inclusive manner and questing spirit - everything one could wish from a leader and mentor. Am consistently struck by her ability to see through to the truth of a situation and draw clear actions from it. She is always very conscious of all that surrounds her with an enormous zest for life and drive to make a difference.

Vital Space is my coaching, facilitation and training consultancy based on Nancy Kline’s Thinking Environment™.

When Nancy published her first book in 1999, my boss at the time, Christopher Spence CBE, Chief Executive of Volunteering England - and Nancy’s husband -introduced me to The Thinking Environment. I took it into YouthNet where I was Chief Executive for 11 years and I believe it was key to us winning Charity Times 'Best Charity To Work For 2008'.

Following a successful 30 year career in the voluntary sector, I came to realise that my new purpose in life was to inspire, support and enable people, often leaders, to master their own vital space and find their own path to fulfilment and success - in work and life generally - however they choose to define it.
